15" MacBook Pro with TouchBar has non-removable SSD

I get AppleCare, so it’s at least 3 years, and if a mac hasn’t developed a fault in the first couple of years, it’s likely to last (with due care) for 5 years or more. By that time, I’ve usually sold it off anyway and bought a new machine.

It’s taken a while, but I finally got round to dragging out the old MacBook Air and running an SSD report. This is an Early/Mid MacBook Air that was my primary machine from 2011 to 2013 then a HTPC for a year before it became my sons machine until earlier this year.

What’s interesting is that this machine is showing 6,000 odd power cycles… vs 40,000 on the newer machine??
