I have an iPhone 4s with iOS 9.3.5 and I can’t stop the side switch from muting the damn phone. It’s constantly being moved just by being in my pocket or something so that the damn thing is always on silent. It’s seriously fucking annoying. Surely there’s a way to fix this short of ripping the fucking side switch off?
There’s a million iphone repair places that will probably fix it pretty cheaply. Assuming you’re still on the original battery I’d get a new one of those at the same time as well. But personally I would just sell it as is on ebay and buy a new phone.
It’s not broken. It just keeps sliding into the silent position due to movement in the pocket or just regular use. Because of that I’ve missed several calls, one of which was important. And I can’t afford a new phone so it’s not an option.
Superglue it into place.
Believe me, I’m considering it.
Nothing a little acetone can’t fix when you want to use your silent switch again.
