My AirPods case doesn’t appear to work unless it’s plugged in to power. When I open the case if it’s fully charged but not plugged in to power, the light doesn’t turn on when it’s opened and the AirPods won’t connect. The case has been reset and re-paired. Any ideas?

Sounds like a fault with the case. Unfortunately they aren’t infallible (I’ve already had either the case or the right airpod fail on me… took it back to the Apple Store and they replaced both as they weren’t sure which one was the issue. The left one was fine.)
Book a Genius Appointment and they’ll probably just give you a new one.
