Apple disallowing widgets that launch other apps

I’m very disappointed to read that Launcher, a notification centre widget, was permanently removed from the app store:

One of the best things about notification centre widgets was the potential for developers to create apps that lets us make shortcuts to the most commonly used functions on our phones.

According to this developer: “Apple…told me that they have decided to disallow any notification centre wider that lets you launch other apps.”

So much for that then. That really sucks balls.

I presume you can still use the app if you had it downloaded?

Yep you can, but I presume if a future update breaks it then it’s all over red rover.
