I’ve noticed, a few times now, that my XS Max camera sometimes goes completely blurry straight after being launched and no amount of tinkering will get it into focus except a hard reset of the phone. I wonder if this is a fault or software bug? Haven’t seen much about it online with other users. I might try return it if it keeps happening. Very annoying when you just want to quickly take a photo. Seems to happen from the Control Centre on Home or Lock screen, or from launching the camera from the app icon.

For me it sometimes opens to a black screen and I have to force quit the app, but that’s been happening to me for years across different phones and OSs

I have had this same thing happen to me. Visit to Apple store and they had to replace the whole camera module.
