You can get round the security thing by right clicking on that .dmg and select open. It will ask you if you really want to and you do so tell it yes.

Thank you kyte. It’s not giving me that option, just tells me it can’t be opened.

I’m wondering if I should empty the Trash and also delete the app icon, which won’t open, and start again?

It’s open. It’s ‘in the dock’. Thank you for the help. I’ll try to do something with it tomorrow. Right now I’m going to reinstate my security settings. Thanks so much again. for the help
