G’day all
Our Telstra broadband deal comes with broadband protect antivirus software. I have never used antivirus software on my Macs. Is there any point installing this one?
Cheers

Probably no harm in it mate, why not give a go and see if your performance slows or anything else out the ordinary happens.
No, Just keep your Apple computers up-to-date. Let Apple handle critical updates and Gatekeeper should protect you from any bad apps that they are aware of.
I’ll risk everything and install it. Any problems I’ll let the group know. I will also keep my Mac up to date with security fixes etc of course.
Personally I recommend a good light weight antivirus be run on Macs, an ounce of prevention is far better than a pound of cure - and given the atrocious updates Apple has put out of late I simply would not trust them alone to protect the machine.
I just use Avast. Regular updates, no problems.
