Another pair of Lightning-enabled EarPods has show up on the internet, which MacRumors has quickly labelled as fake. Even so, they say that the somewhat unsightly plastic sheath around the Lightning connector provides room for a digital to audio converter, which would otherwise have to be built into the remote or somewhere else.
Apple supplier LG Display will increase their OLED production, admitting to Bloomberg that although they have missed the train on OLED adoption in smartphones, they expect the technology to catch on within the next two years. Itâs interesting because LG has been doing OLED TVs for years, and their consumer OLED TVs are widely regarded as the best of the best.
An open casting call has been placed for Appleâs first original TV series. The âPlanet of the Appsâ will be an unscripted reality TV show, which Apple will co-produce with Propagate, a newly-launched production company from people behind The Biggest Loser and MasterChef Junior, according to 9to5Mac.
A Dutch court has ruled in favour of a woman who sued Apple for refusing to replace her broken iPhone 6 Plus with a new model. As per standard Apple policy, her device was replaced with a refurbished model, and now, the Dutch court has ordered Apple to refund the purchase price of the device, as well as pay the womanâs legal fees.
Macworld goes hands-on with the new features in Photos in macOS Sierra and iOS 10. The Mac Observer writes about the curse of Apple supporting older hardware. We all want our devices to last as long as possible, but just because you canât use Siri on your Mac doesnât mean that it immediately becomes useless and relegated to the scrap heap. Same deal with iPhones and iPads, too.
