She writes it’s not something you need to do with every point release of an OS, but can be handy to do every, say, 4-5 years or so.

Heh, I do a clean install every 6 to 12 months. I do piss about with a bunch of different software for work though, so I probably need to clean things out more than most.

Also, is it just me, or is the quality of the reporting on The Verge going downhill?
