Wanted: Recommendation for monitor for 15" 2012 MacBook Pro

HI

I’m after a recommendation for the best/best value 2560 x 1600 screen for the 2012 15" MacBook Pro (mini displayport/displayport I guess)

I’ve seen a couple on the Dell website but after any recommendations that people who have some experience with screen options for this model of machine so that I can get a few more years out of it.

Don’t know how helpful this is, for you… I have a Dell U2010 which I had hooked up to the 2011 13" MBP I used to own, and currently to the late 2012 Mini I still have, and its excellent. I was planning to buy a 25" Dell screen, for the extra pixels, but never got round to it. I think it was this one : http://accessories.ap.dell.com/sna/productdetail.aspx?c=au&cs=audhs1&l=en&s=dhs&sku=210-AGOW&redirect=1

But, there’s another, a 24" with even higher resolution. Of course if you want 27" theres more options.

I have a client with a couple of these. Lovely monitor, but the USB hubs have been flakey on his Macs.

I just bought the AOC 4K monitor to replace one of my Dell monitors I use on my Vintage Mac Pro. What I learned was my Mac Pro graphics card does not support 4G so I have to use it a lower resolution. I then tested it with my new Macbook Pro and when I use high resolution I can’t read the text and there is no way to increase the size except by lowering the resolution, which defeats the purpose. Anyway, I’m just waiting for the new Mac Pro, which will support 4G and hopefully I won’t need a magnifying glass.
