Magic Trackpad 2 taptic failure?

Wondering if anyone else has had their Magic Trackpad 2 stop functioning. Specifically the Taptic Engine?

Mine stopped work a few days ago. Switching off/on and restart have not resolved this. Have also tried plugging in, and confirmed that force click is selected in system preferences.

Anyone else experience this? It’s very different to use without it…

Not my magic trackpad no… but I did have the same fault in the trackpad in my Macbook Pro which meant the laptop had to go back to Apple.

I’ve had it just over 2 years, so chances are not high of a replacement.

A little annoying as I paid the premium for the space grey…
