Is anyone else experiencing FaceID just not working anymore under 12.1? Nothing has changed on my phone except for that, yesterday it was working fine and today it keeps asking for my passcode. Trying to set up an alternate appearance in FaceID settings brings up the message “FaceID is not available - try setting up FaceID later”.
Never mind - as is usual but for some reason it slipped my mind - a restart fixed it.
“Have you tried turning it off and on again” is actually, in my opinion, Losing its ubiquitous status - I don’t always go there now, because restarting - be it iP- or Mac- is no longer a daily or weekly or even monthly thing anymore.
