I am a Mac user in a Windows world and mostly docx files import just fine into Pages. Some have turned up lately with half the photos missing however. These are always photos in table cells it seems. Some work, some don’t.
A common problem? Is there a work around?

Just exploring further - the thumbnail pic on my desktop of the docx fils clearly shows the correct images. If i hit the spacebar to generate a preview I can see the images correctly. If I import into Pages I lose one of them.
. I really don’t want to put Office on this machine.Sadly, putting Office on that machine might be the best option if you really need the compatibility. Office has always been not quite right when importing into other apps, while often it will work passably, it’s common to see little formatting errors or even giant stupidness.
