Swipe to unlock?

I’ve upgraded to ios10 and there is no longer a swipe to unlock. Is there an option to bring it back?

Nope. She’s dead, Jim.

If you don’t want to have to press home to unlock and you have a Touch ID device, enable “rest finger to open” under Settings, General, Accessibility, Home Button.

Can I get rid of the suggestion bar above the keyboard?

Noooooooo… The home button is already under to much stress.

You used to be able to, by just swiping down on it slightly - however that ship seems to have sailed.

Settings > General > Keyboard > Predictive - slide to off seems to do the trick

Thank you! Much appreciated

Don’t we all love when Apple makes changes like making scrolling “natural.”

I resisted natural scrolling for about 6 months, then gave in. Wish I’d done it on day one. First week was rough, after that it’s SO much better in my experience. I’m so glad Apple had the courage to make that change!

Yeah… I’m still going to change swipe to unlock on, the iPhone home button gets enough of a work out as it is, and on the 5S and up with biometrics if your home button breaks its not really that simple. Better safer than sorry after my experience with my iPhone 4.

It’s installing now, so here goes nothing!
