It was a humorous reference to the angst surrounding the billionaires that have pledged money to rebuild the Notre Dame Cathedral.

I do wonder if they have a Plan B somewhere or if we will just be stuck with no store in city for another 10 years.

I can’t locate the article now but I was reading that 2 other cities have stopped Apple building at culturally significant sites and on both occasions Apple sulked off and never returned.

I think if they could knock down something and build a statement building from scratch it’d be better anyway. Melbourne’s CBD is a bit tired and grotty and could use it (just my opinion!)
