Ars Technica kicks us off this morning with a preview of iOS 10, which covers all the cool new features missing from the iPad, as well as features that require newer iPhone or iPad hardware. Their overview is the first I’ve seen that covers new features in the built-in iOS mail client, as well as how the new iOS universal clipboard works with macOS Sierra.
One of the headlining features of iOS 10 is undoubtedly the new lock screen, which puts a fare greater emphasis on Notification Center widgets than ever before. Swipe to unlock is gone, replaced by the same set of widgets you’d see in the Today view of your Notification Center. The Verge also says Control Center in iOS 10 is much improved over its previous iterations.

An Apple support article describes how the F8 key does not work when attempting to boot into Windows when a USB keyboard is connected to the Thunderbolt display, suggesting that users plug the keyboard directly into the computer instead. Perhaps this is the reason the Thunderbolt display was discontinued.
