New iMac won't connect to my network

My 2021 iMac running OS 12.6.3 won’t connect to my WiFi network. Our four other devices connect easily. Even my grandson’s new HP laptop connected without a hitch.
I’m sure it used to connect because it puts the network name as an option to select.
I have run diagnostics and tried the three suggestions, including rebooting the router (Netcomm NF 18 Cloudmesh)
I suspect this problem has arisen after updating to the latest OS version.
When I look at the ‘Advanced’ window, TCP/IP tab I see there is no data showing under the three headings, IPv4 Address, Subnet Mask, and Router. my two other computers show these fields filled in. Where does this data come from?

You said it remembers the name… can you delete that pre-saved connection and go fresh…?

I suggest that you:

  • Delete or “Forget” your network as @cosmichobo suggested
  • Shutdown your Mac.
  • Restart it.
  • Select your network and enter the password

I always shut down my computers overnight. Just habit. This morning on starting the iMac it connected to my WiFi network OK. All is working as it should.
Perhaps after rebooting the modem, deleting and re-entering the network name last night all I had to to was restart the Mac. And that happened last night.
Great, now I can air drop photos to my wife’s phone.
Thanks guys, you help is always appreciated.
