I just went on the local Apple site to have a look at the new M2 Mac mini & thought I’d see how much trade in I would get on my M1 Mac mini. Answer - NONE!!! 
Just checked my 2018 i7 Mini and it tells me my “Mac is ready to recycle”, and that that’s a big win for the planet.
Laughs in a 2012 MacBook Pro being my main Mac despite being a moderate power user

Trade-in value of all my Apple stuff is a big fat zero…. at Apple. They have always been cheap.

After looking into this a bit further it appears it could be possible to trade this in but only in store!?!
I appreciate that Apple offers a trade in… knowing that trade in prices are Never market price… but that’s ridiculous about a 2018 mini!!!
I would never trade in an Apple product. Always better to sell on eBay. I was just interested to see how much they would offer on a 2 year old machine.
